What do you like to do when you’ve some holiday from work? Do you plan a fortnight away somewhere sunny, pack up your skis and go for the slopes or spend a few days in the house pottering about? Whatever the decision, we all benefit from a break from the old routine.

For a lot of people in the UK, the most appealing suggestion for a holiday away from home is a place where it’s sunny most of the time. With British weather frequently being unpredictable, any country where sunshine is almost certainly guaranteed is always going to be a favourite option with the sun addicts amongst us. Whilst I wouldn’t describe myself as a ‘sun person’ I have the ability to understand the fascination, in particular whilst looking at the grey foggy weather out of my window.
